Since Robinhood Chain started getting more attention, we’ve seen a wave of Matt Furie-related narratives flooding the chain. Most of them die almost as quickly as they appear. More recently, people have even been taking advantage of Matt Furie’s compromised X account to shill low-quality memes. To me, that completely misses the point. Memes are supposed to be fun, organic, and community-driven. They shouldn’t need bundled launches, artificial hype, or the exploitation of Matt Furie’s name just to survive. That’s why I decided to bring Hoodrat to Robinhood. I’ll keep a small percentage of the supply to cover things that actually help the project grow over time — DEX updates, listings, marketing, community initiatives, and other operational costs.
