Using Coral

FAQ

Quick answers to the questions people ask Coral most in chat.

Getting started

Is this Coral itself, or just a bot?

The bot is Coral's chat surface. Coral is the agent behind it: it grades tokens, keeps a public record of who called what, and holds a public treasury. The bot is how that grading reaches your server.

Does Coral actually trade?

No. /buy returns a link to an external swap interface, and you execute there yourself.

Can I add Coral to my own server?

Yes. See Add Coral to your server. It goes live as soon as you add it.

Why didn't Coral reply to my message?

Usually a short per-user cooldown, or it didn't recognize the ticker. Try /price TICKER to force a lookup.

Can I use Coral in my language?

Yes. Use the language switcher (or visit /ja, /zh, /ko, /ru, /tr, /vi, /pt-br, /es) to read Coral in nine languages. Coral's chat bot also supports /language.

Reading a card

How do I get more detail on a card?

Every card carries its own controls. On Discord, pick a tab from the dropdown (holders, security, stats, flow) and the detail comes back just to you. On Telegram those are the top row of buttons, with copy CA, watch, and share below. ๐Ÿ‘ / ๐Ÿ‘Ž cast a community vote, and reacting with ๐Ÿณ ๐Ÿ“ˆ ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ’ง ๐ŸŒŠ still works. More in Token cards & reactions.

Why does the Coral Score say "early read" instead of a number?

A 0 to 100 number prints once two or more independent reads agree on a token. "early read" means the data is still too thin to grade, which is normal for very fresh tokens.

What do the CA, Scan, Supply, Dev, and LP lines mean?

The CA line is your Base and Ethereum rug check: verified source published onchain, the buy/sell tax (100% sell is a honeypot), and whether the owner renounced and the LP is locked. Scan, Supply, Dev, and LP are the Solana read: insiders are wallets tied to the team or each other, snipers bought in the first blocks, bundled buys landed together at launch, and Dev counts what the deployer launched before. A line only shows when there is data. Scan data, not a guarantee.

Where do the prices come from?

Coral blends registry data with live market and onchain data, cached briefly so lookups stay fast.

What does the "why is this moving?" button do?

It shows on hot cards, meaning a big 24h move or a fresh launch. One tap runs an onchain read (deployer, authorities, holders, safety) and answers in a short paragraph. It spends one Ask Coral answer, and everyone gets a free allowance to start. More in Ask Coral.

What if I don't pick a reason after voting?

Your ๐Ÿ‘ / ๐Ÿ‘Ž still counts. Discord collapses the prompt after a few minutes; on Telegram, tap skip to clear it.

Alerts and tools

How do price alerts work?

Run /watch $TICKER above 0.05, below 0.01, or 2x and Coral DMs you once when it hits. Tapping ๐Ÿ”” on any card sets a 2x watch in one tap. A bare /watch lists yours and /unwatch clears one. 10 per person per chat, checked every 15 minutes. If your DMs are closed, the alert posts once in the chat where you set it.

How do wallet-follow alerts work?

Follow any wallet with /follow and Coral pings you when it trades. No wallet in mind? /follow top subscribes you to coral top, the curated roster of wallets Coral tracks, and it counts as one follow. Or point it at a token with /follow top $AORA to follow that token's top wallets on Base, Robinhood, or Solana. An admin who runs either in a group turns the alerts on for the whole channel, and /unfollow top stops them. Every alert carries the Coral Score, a safety read, the wallet's own record, and a first-call receipt when Coral flagged the token first. Check your list with /following and drop one with /unfollow. 20 wallets per person per chat.

Can I follow wallets in my DMs?

Yes. DM the bot, follow a few wallets, and the pings land in your DMs, no server needed. On Telegram, open the DM first so Coral can reach you. You can also follow in a channel, where an admin sets it up for the whole room.

How do I manage follows in the browser?

Run /web in Discord or Telegram and tap the link. 0xcoral.com/app is the table: add, pause, tag, and read last week's DMs. The bot still delivers the ping in chat.

What do /scan and /whale do?

/scan grades a wallet: its realized and unrealized PnL, top holdings, the Coral Score on each, and on EVM its top related wallets (the ones it trades with most). /whale shows which wallets your community follows are buying a token right now, led by the Coral Score. Both take an EVM 0x or Solana address, and /whale also takes a $TICKER.

For server owners

What are live buy alerts?

Admins set the group token with /setca, then turn on alerts with /buybot on. Coral cards every buy: amount spent, buyer, market cap, a 24h chart, and a Buy Now button, plus the Coral Score and the first-call receipt. A hot token folds into one summary line so the chat never floods. More in Buy bot.

What are milestone cards?

Coral remembers who called each token first in your group, and at what market cap. When a called token crosses 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, or 100x from that call, it posts a card with the multiplier, the caller, and the receipts. One card per milestone per token. More in Milestone cards.

Getting unstuck

What are you building next?

The roadmap lists what is in build now, what comes next, and what already shipped, with the reasoning behind each one.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Use /feedback followed by your note, in any channel on Discord or Telegram. It goes straight to the team. You can also drop it in the community.

Still stuck?

Ask in the official Discord or Telegram. Coral and the team hang out there.
